Project idea

The aim of the project was to adapt the former Praga production hall for a new use. The building was converted into a leisure sports complex. The project also includes the construction of a new sports hall, which also serves the needs of the neighboring elementary school.

Project description

New elements were added to the hall (3x3 basketball, climbing wall, bouldering, parkour, skatepark, skate bowl, U-ramp) as well as leisure areas (café, snack bars, shops). The design includes the use of roof areas for sports fields and a leisure running track, supported by a newly designed steel structure with two viewing platforms. Facilities for the local rugby team, including a new grandstand, have also been included.

Technical information

Three heated boxes have been installed in the former production hall, which will house facilities and shops. The other walkable structures in the hall are made of steel. The supporting structure for the running track is also made of steel. The rest of the hall is like the exterior, so it is not heated in any way. The part of this hall where there are four floors (facilities for rugby) is insulated.
